Prof. You-Ping HU, TCMD, PhD, Chief Expert of Superfacial Meridian Acupuncture
Ph.D. and Doctoral Advisor. Mr. Hu is the Director of Sichuan Acupuncture Association and the Director of Chengdu Traditional Chinese Medicine Society. His other titles are: Standing member of the Sichuan Province Acupuncture Society’s Clinical Committee, Standing member of the Sichuan Province Chinese Medicine Society’s Pain Professional Committeem, member of Academic Committee of the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and member of Academic Ethics Committee.
He has been engaged in acupuncture clinical, teaching and scientific research for 35 years, and has trained nearly 100 graduate and doctoral graduate students. He has edited and edited textbooks and 20 monographs; completed more than 20 research projects at various levels including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Provincial Department of Science and Technology; published more than 100 academic papers, including 2 in SCI and 35 in Chinese core journals. He has won first and second prizes for provincial and municipal scientific and technological progress; first, second and third prizes for provincial teaching achievements; first, second and third prizes for school teaching achievements. He was awarded the "Outstanding Teacher" award of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the special award for undergraduate classroom teaching quality.
 In clinical practice, Mr. Hu is specialized in applying the TCM’s meridian theory in treating various pain, stroke, facial paralysis, and nervous system diseases, conditioning and treatment of various emotional disorders such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.. He also applied the combined acupuncture and traditional medicine treatment on the studies of female infertility and male Sexual dysfunction with satisfactory results. In recent years, he has been devoted to the study of Superfacial Meridian Theory and clinical application, and he has achieved remarkable results in the classical acupuncture methods in treatment of traditional Superfacial Meridian  syndromes such as cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, frozen shoulder, sciatica, and fibromyalgia syndrome.
